It is easier to fall than to soar.
But sometimes soaring can feel like falling.
When the eagle dives is it falling or soaring?
The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he? Now my days are swifter than a post: they flee away, they see no good. They are passed away as the swift ships: as the eagle that hasteth to the prey. If I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort myself:
Job 9:24-27 KJV
When we feel like life is crashing down all around us, and we see no way out, are we falling or are we soaring?
I choose to encourage myself and stand on the promises of God.
He is the wind beneath my wings.
So as long as He breathes on me or even in my direction I’m soaring.
So when you see me and it looks like I’m taking a nosedive, pray for my continuation in the Lord and just know that He is working it out for my good because I love Him and am called according to His purpose.
When you catch the eagle in action and it dive bombs do you fear for it’s safety? No, because you realize that it’s about to eat and be filled.
So if we go through something we need the vision that Daddy gave the eagles and the confidence that says “I know that if I keep focused on the Lord He will provide for me. He will bless me, and when this is over He will take me to new heights in Him”.
I may have gone through the storm, but I had to in order to soar above it. It’s only then that I’m able to see clearly what my Father wants to show me.
I may have looked to be out of control or like I was going to crash and drown, but my Daddy made me resilient and gave me the grace to manoeuver the air and the water that He placed in my life. I go where He leads me so He is in control of my descent after whatever He showed me above the storm.
The word says :
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
Papa, we ask You to breath on us today, give our bones new life. Strengthen us in Your Word, will and way for our lives. Embolden us and put Your armor on us. That we might stand and stand firm on Your Word and promises. Put a ten foot hedge around us. Allow us to soar to higher heights in You. Lead us and guide us so we don’t go to the left or the right. Tighten up our walk with You. We want to represent our Father in everything that we do. Grow our relationship with You that we too will be considered a friend of God. Empower us that others will see us as You see us, joint heirs with Christ by the redemptive power of the blood of the Lamb.
