If we can repent, we can be saved!
(To repent is to turn away from, or to stop doing something in order to do something else. In this case we are stopping our sinful ways and apologizing to God, and running towards Him to have a real relationship with Him.)
The whole Bible is full of people who repented and were spared from the punishment that was rightfully due them.
Pride is the opposite of repentance and pride, I believe, is why it will be harder for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God than a camel to go through the eye of a needle (narrow passageway).
Friends in order to repent truly, we must humble ourselves.
Admitting that we don’t have all the answers and knowing that God the Father does is a great step in the right direction.
Humbly go before the Almighty with repentance and ask Him for His Holy Spirit through Christ Jesus. And see that He will do for you what you have asked.
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”
Luke 11:13 NLT
So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.
Matthew 7:11 NLT
Another example of humbly going to the Lord is when you approach Him with praise and worship; thanking Him for everything.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
go into his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and praise his name.
Psalms 100:4 NLT
Be blessed beloved friends!
Go to Christ, repent, be baptized (for the forgiveness of your sins), and be filled with the Holy Spirit
In Jesus’ name!
Lord help them to come to You. You said that if You be lifted up You’ll draw all men into You. We lift You up right now, draw them that are Yours, and intrigue them that aren’t that if they shake their pride and unharden their hearts, humbly repent, that they too can be called Yours. Forgive us of our sins and place Your forgiveness within us for others. This we ask, in Jesus’ name
Amen!
… God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
James 4:6 KJV
