Does your Holy have Holes in it?

If God gave you a glimpse into the spirit and you looked at your robe; is it going to be white, dingy or gray?

Will it be a full length robe or will it barely cover your nakedness?

Is it complete or tattered?

Are you even clothed at all?

Are you clothed in righteousness or flesh tones?

What is the state of your spirit-man?

I had an interesting dream about how what we say and think can affect our spiritual armor and garments.

In this dream I started thinking something to myself. To me the thought wasn’t that bad, but when I looked down at what I was wearing; my clothes were a bit off white as if my righteous garment was washed with a little sin and it was tattered.

Tattered like I got scissor-happy; like when highschool students cut holes and designs into there dresses or jerseys or shirts to make a ‘cute’ scantily clad jersey dress or shirt to push the boundaries of what’s acceptable in school.

It was cute but ungodly and there was nothing to cover my nakedness underneath. And there were people in the room that I noticed were looking at me, but I don’t think they realized that my clothing shouldn’t look like that.

I was standing in front of them and someone commented on my outfit, but I don’t remember what was said, only that I was saying “it doesn’t cover me” and “why are there holes there, everyone can see what they shouldn’t be seeing “.

No matter how I adjusted the ‘dress’ it didn’t cover my privacy, top or bottom. I could hold it down to cover me low, but my top was exposed.

I woke up right away and was like “all of that because I thought that? Wow!”

Then it hit me “because you can’t do what everyone else does!” You are called to be set apart from the things that are acceptable in this world.

Called to be an example of Christ, how can those you minister to do better if the example is in poor condition?

You are called to a higher standard, so it doesn’t matter if something seems harmless it’s not godly to do or think that way at this point in your life so it’s not for you (because there maybe things that are ok for different seasons we go through. Like single vs married).

All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

Isaiah 64:6 NIV

Our righteousness is as filthy rags before the Lord and we get swept away on the wind of our sins. It is so easy for us to go astray especially in this age of atrocities. But thank God for the blood of Jesus!

Thank God for covering us and making us presentable before the King.

Clothing us in His Righteousness and Glory; and the spirit of God presenting us as holy and acceptable in Him for Him, for He is Holy.

Philippians 4:8 makes more sense when looking at ourselves as God looks at us. Renewing our minds with virtue means we look like God in the spirit realm because we are walking in His light, love, and Spirit!

Philippians 4:13, we will do it all in His strength because we are thinking of Him and what He wants from us. And He will work through us.

Casting down strong imaginations and repetitive thoughts that exalt themselves against the knowledge of the God.

What is the knowledge of the Lord?

In my opinion it is:

  1. Knowing Who God is; and Who God is to you.
  2. What God said in His Word; and by His prophets.
  3. What you know you need to do in order to get where He destined for you to be; what the Spirit of the Lord is leading you to do.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we need to be mindful of not only what goes into our gates (eyes, ears, spirit-man), but what we think and what comes out of us (words and actions) and what plays out in our minds no matter how small we think the thing is in our eyes it can still be counted as unholy in God’s eyes.

Father, we thank You for Your Holiness and Your Grace and Mercy.

Forgive us for the things we say, do and think that aren’t sin but still are not pleasing in Your sight!

We receive the strength You gave us, to turn away from the things that won’t bring Honor and Glory to You!

We bless Your Holy name and thank You for blessing us to be a blessing! In which we must be an example of Your Light, uncompromised by the darkness of this world.

Redirect our thoughts to reflect You!

We silence those outside voices bombarding us with unwise and unclean thoughts and we will focus on those good and wholesome things that will bring You Glory, countering those things with Your Holy Word!

In Jesus’ Most Magnificent name ❣️

Amen
