Jesus revealed His status to the Samaritan woman and was vague with the Jews because He was fulfilling scripture.
That they wouldn’t even know the Messiah if He was staring them in the face. Having eyes but blind to their Savior, and ears that can’t even hear the voice of their Lord.
So salvation could and would be opened up to His sheep from other folds. Even though he outright told her “hey I am the Messiah” she still went into town and said “come see the man that told me everything about me, could He be the Messiah?”
She probably had trouble believing because Samaria was once apart of Israel (spiritual blinders on), which is why she mentioned “our father Jacob”. Or she didn’t want to seem dumb in front of the townspeople because they knew her reputation.
My point is that in Him revealing Himself to those that aren’t in the main fold, it shows that He has love for all who come and want to come. Yes, He told a different woman that it’s not right to give the children’s bread to the dogs, but she believed that He was her Savior, her response was “yes, but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall…” He knew her faith already and that His words weren’t going to stop her from getting her blessing. He noted this by saying “woman your faith is great, be it unto you as you will ( whatever you thought it to be [because your will lines up with God’s will] it is done for you because you believe). Which He hadn’t see much faith among his own people, the ones that the Word came to who should have recognized that He was their God incarnate.
God looks for willing and humble hearts to share His secrets with. Them who will hear His voice and repent and follow Him. Them who will share the Love of the Lord with others and go tell somebody of the Goodness and the Glory of God.
He’s looking for someone who’s life changing testimony will touch lives. Somebody who will tell the Gospel of the Lord preaching repentance!
God needs you to be available to do your due diligence in your walk with Christ!
